Where is Mable furniture manufactured? +

All Mable furniture is handcrafted in Cape Town, South Africa — designed locally and built to order.

What materials do you use? +

We use premium Scandinavian birch plywood — beautiful, strong, and sustainably sourced. Jointing components are imported from Germany, and our Blum hinges (made in Austria) come with a 25-year manufacturer's warranty. All surfaces are finished with a water-based varnish from a local South African partner.

What is the warranty? +

Every piece comes with a 3-year warranty covering faulty workmanship and defective materials. Door hinges carry a separate 25-year manufacturer's warranty.

How should I care for my Mable? +

Use coasters and placemats to protect surfaces, and dry any moisture immediately — standing water can cause staining or swelling on plywood. For ongoing care, occasionally apply the natural beeswax polish included with your order.

Can I customise my furniture? +

Absolutely. Every Mable is made to order. Use our online Studio to choose your dimensions, number of compartments, door placement, door colour, and leg style. You can also click on individual compartments in the 3D editor to add or remove doors, and click again to change the hinge side.

Delivery

Where do you deliver? +

We deliver anywhere in South Africa, directly to your home or office. Our courier partner handles all deliveries, and you'll receive tracking details via email as soon as your order ships. See our Shipping page for full details.

What does delivery cost? +

A flat R500 anywhere in South Africa, regardless of order size or destination. The fee is added at checkout.

How long will my order take? +

Your Mable is custom-made and typically takes 4 to 6 weeks from order to delivery, anywhere in South Africa. We'll send you updates throughout the process so you can follow along, and you'll receive an email with tracking details once it ships.

Can I reschedule my delivery? +

Yes — our courier offers one free re-delivery attempt to your original address. Once you have your tracking number, you can schedule a new delivery time through their online portal.

Payment

Which payment methods do you accept? +

We accept payment via PayFast (credit card, debit card, and instant EFT) or by manual EFT to our bank account. See our Payment Methods page for full details.

What is your refund policy? +

Please inspect your delivery on arrival. If any part is missing or damaged, email us at hello@mable.co.za with photos and your order number within 5 business days of delivery — we'll replace it at no cost, within 14 days. Reports made after the 5-business-day window may not qualify for a free replacement.

Because every piece is custom-made to your specifications, we're unable to offer refunds on completed orders.

Assembly & Returns

How do I assemble my Mable? +

Every piece comes with a personal assembly manual, and each board has an identification sticker. The carcass slots together by hand and the push-to-open hardware clicks in — no Allen keys, no cam-locks. Back panels and drawers fix in with a screwdriver. Follow the manual and the labels and you're done.

What if my furniture doesn't fit my space? +

If the dimensions of your delivered furniture don't match your original design specifications, we'll make it right. Beyond that, we're unable to accept returns on custom furniture — one of our core values is preventing waste. Please double-check your dimensions in the editor before ordering.
